Well well well. Still no layout update. Mayhap i'll make a hallowe'en one, that's be groove. Not as cool as Jordyn's new one, tho. And Kim's snazz design skills. Man oh man! On the weekend we went family lazer tagging, that was pretty cool. Now it's back to the world. I felt sick today, cos i got a flu shot this morning. I did get to sleep in for it, though, which was a real treat. On Sunday I slept over at Seven's...here are some photos of us. She's so cute.

And here's a tree, from when we went on a walk on Sunday.
I am slacking off, I have too much to do. And i need a Body Smarts fix. I'm zarking addicted to those things. must ...restrain..... yeah. Yeah. Well, i'd better go and be...productive. Actally, i'm probably just going to go to bed. I hope Jordyn's okay. She left abrubtly today..... set up for the Bill Hilly Band tonight. Wish i could see the show. Har har. We're slacking off in animation (evil evil evil), adn doing that Harry Potter test thing. Jordyn keeps getting Dumbledore, but she doesn't want a beard, so she keeps redoing it, but she keeps getting him...por draco....hehheh. i'm really just doing this to put my compatibility number up here... 544244415545214 Kim and i aren't compatible, neither are Jordyn and Kim....but when Jordyn's Dumbledore, we're compatable...hehheheh. Time wasting goodness!
Jordyn's getting violent again. fear, fear! Are YOU concerned about the welfare of animals? For some reason, Jordyn keeps repeating that whenever she gets to that question...she's still taking the test over again...she got Voldemort...and now Lupin, after the 12th try...heh.

Sunday, October 6, 2002 10:52 p.m.
The thing that bugs me most right now is that it's so incredibly gorgeously melancholy outside, the rainy fall weather where the trees are all still flaming that i love more than any other time of year, and i am too busy to get to go outside much. another thing that bugs me: Second Cup wants me to go to a meeting on Tuesday, which means that i'll have to miss physical theatre, which i've been waiting for all week! Man alive! Took Keith to Servant of Two Masters today, and seven came too, so that was mighty fun. So tired tho. I cannot decide whether or not to enter that albertanewmedia.com contest thing, as i really need to curtail my spending and the entry fee is evile....and anything that i did for it would be rushed, unless i used something old, but i hate all my old things, so ...yeah. i dunno. gah...school tomorrow....not so much the actual school, as the having to get up....
Wednesday, October 2, 2002 10:34 p.m.
Hey there, you crazy bunch o' blog-checkers, you! Hurrah for Stuff! Yeah....had rehearshal for Sticks and Stones today.....t'was fun; i enjoy. Sadly, Nicole had to opt out as she was too busy, that's sad. But it's good that she's not gonna overload herself. .... I was so productive in Art/Drawing today, i got lots and lots of work done on my aleotoric music project. Then i had oil paints all over my hands for the rest of the day, which was annoying, as every time i touched anything it got all painty....man....good times. I didn't have anything to do today at lunch, either, which was a real treat, i must say. Mr.Howe accidentally lent me Jenna's gascd instead of Martina Sobara, which was great to finally get to listen to, and i got to listen to martina today when i corrected his mistake. He's borrowing ani's latest, so much shouting, so much laughter from me. Indeed! not too much to talk about. My new harbal essences shampoo reminds me of my grandparents' house, as when my uncle still lived there and i was staying over, i'd always use his shampoo, which was that brand. Yeah.

(commence whining)
Maar. I'm so tired, and i really really wanted to get to bed early tonight, but no such luck. Still have math and chem homework to go. Moooog. :( Maybe I can do the Social tomorrow morning -- no wait, i have to meet Mrs. C about my comissions....well, there goes that....and gah, math! and....cast lists are all posted tomorrow! I feel fully confident that every one of my friends who auditioned will get in --no, i'm not being nice or fake, i just have really talented friends. But....nervous! Myabe this'll be my year, who knows. (/whining) Yeah! Got the job at the coffehouse! Rock on! Wow, i hope they're flexible with hours...they said they would be..... Things that made me happy today: that Lara keeps on putting notes on my windshiled when she goes for her spare. That Lar wrote a song with my words in it. That David Storch is God (yes, still). Well, i was mainly writing in this cos I told Ell I would, now back to Hell. I mean, Math. Yar.
Thursday, September 26, 2002 12:44 a.m.
I can't wait until Friday, when the lists go up and we get to see which.if any plays we all got into...best of luck to everyone who auditioned!
Wow, i just saw Tom Wood's Servant of Two Masters tonight.....holy cow, that play is amazing! David Storch, who I last saw as HobbitHamlet last year, was incredible. His physical comedy...and...wow! Holy cow, i love that man! Seriously! Wow, it was so great....here...http://citadeltheatre.com , i think. Or summat. Yes! So: bed! bed bed bed!
Tuesday, September 24, 2002 08:25 p.m.
Yar har har. Auditions all over, and job interview went well! score! Yes. Hm. Not too much to say, actually. I thought I had something to say, but...yeah! yes. Um! Frinished Catcher in the Rye yesterday night. I like how when you read a book that's written in a certain vernacular or style, you find yourself thinking in that style after you've been reading it. Like with Lord of the Rings. Or This book. Or many others. Indeed! Boring me.

here! it's crap, but it's up! saw Cat on a Hot Tin Roof with seven today, very good, except for the "accents" of most of the actors. then three muskateers. veddy good. go to bed now. har, study for social now is more like it.

Holy...where'd the week go? Well, all my auditions are over now, unless i get a callback for the One Acts. And i got another comission! Score! And apparently i've won honourable mention (a ribbon!) in the art contest i entered earlier this month....i feel really bad cos I haven't even been to see the show yet as the gallery closes at five and I haven't been in town before 5 any night this week. Also, I didn't even go to the opening as we were going camping.
Tonight I put on my hobbit cloak and my pippin-scarf (yes.) and walked over to get a hot fudge sunday for my mom (she thought i was driving, heh.). I love autumn, especially at night in the wind. I guess i like it just as much in the day, but it was still cool. A black cat followed me for a while. The whole thing reminded me of when i was a kid, at night during the fall, my two brothers and I would dress up and roam the neighborhood, or else just turn on an old cassette of Bachman Turner Overdrive and dance on our deck. Fall has such a great feel to it. Tomorrow i will do a windowpainting for this contest thing. Man, i bet i'll be the oldest one there...gaar..... My dad's in Montreal right now....hm, i hope our Europe trip gets enough people to go...yeah.

Whew. Mondays. I'm in a surprisingly good mood at the moment, though it has been wavering back and forth all day.....i got the lowest mark I have ever got on ANYTHING in my life today, 29% on a math exam. BLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hate math so much. The stupid teacher did not even tell us that she was only giving us half of the class to do the test...and i had forgotten my calculator....and there was a fire drill....gah.
Oh, and I also got my first speeding ticket the other day. But then again, Lar has to pay 3 or 4 times what I have to cos she scratched someone's bumper the other day. I'm evil, but it makes me feel better. I love the melancholy of fall, and it is my favourite season, but I truly am going to miss it when the trees are no longer green. I've loved that green, and now it's going away again for such a long time. I hope people get feeling better, everyone is sick recently. Just in time for auditions, too. I need to work on my site layout. Evilsmile.net!!!!! Music - Pizzicato Five - Bossa Nova 3003 Reading- The Onion Girl, Charles de Lint

Whoop! Had an audition for Physical Theatre today...man, i really really hope that I get in! I mean, i don't see any real reason why i shouldn't, but then again, i've basically resigned myself to never getting into anything. Doesn't mean I'll stop auditioning for things, but I will stop auditioning with any slight hope that i might possibly get even a minor role. Like slamming my head into a brick wall! Whee.
Cripes....i've wasted so much time tonight....I had to wait for Andrew for a few hours, and instead of getting my homework done during that time (kicks self), I now have to try and get it all done now. I mean, i got home at 6:30, but then i went for a walk with my mom, and then I read to the kids, and then I worked on my Resume.....for some bizarre reason I am applying (with my BROTHER) at a new Second Cup opening here. I mean, i don't really like coffee, I don't really need or want a job, and i would much prefer to work at an independent bookstore (ha. None of those in mass-produced Suburbia!), so I have no idea why I'm doing it. Even if I do get accepted I probably won't have time. Ah, well. Finally finished the first three commissions (for the FINAL time!!!!!) for the AMA, and got them delivered, or rather my mom did (hurrah! thanks, mom!!)....and...yeah! Must go work on homework, yes, hmm! Music- Kate Price, The Isle of Dreaming

Last day of sleeping in this weekend...aw, man. Then back to school.....not that I mind it much. I got my schedule mostly straightened out...had to drop Social IB (very very sad. we were going to be doing Hitler! and the Cold War!) and Theory of Knowledge (which means i'll just take Philosophy 30 again, i guess)...I now have:
Social 30 Animation 35 Acting 35 Math 30 Pure (blaaaaarg) Art 30 IB Drawing 35 (the coolest class ever, Kim and I got to take it during one of the teacher's prep periods cos we couldn't fit it into our schedules otherwise...we're the only two in the 'class'!) English 30 IB Philosophy 30 ...and whatever else i can fit into my half-year spare next semester cos I am an insane loser and do not want to have any spares. So, yeah! My grandparents stopped by yesterday, bringing fresh fruit from my great-aunt's house in Kamloops...exciting.
Oh, and before I forget: AHthie (i just found out i've been pronouncing her name wrong for almost 2 years now! EHthie!)and characters' D&D personalities: Ath: ALwful Good Elf Bard Mage, follower of Oghma(almost same as me!) Jerimin (early on):Lawful Good Half-Elf Bard Druid, Follower of Oghma .....(Later on) Lawful Evil Gnome Paladin Mage, follower of Urdlen (big change there, eh?) The Queen: Neutral Evil Human Mage Fighter, follower of Velsharoon. So...yeah! okay, i'm bored of writing in this now...f to work on commissions, do do dooo..... GAAH!
I hate scheduling!!!! I have to drop Social IB to be in Animation! :(:( ...fortunately, i will be in a class with friends, still have the same swank teacher as i would have had for IB, and *may* be able to do IB work in a regular class....i mean, hey, if Steve can do it for Chem..... but they really totally messed up EVERYONE's shedule this year....seriously! It's all so....bleh! There's only one tech theatre student, cos all the tech students were in Directing as well, and that was put in the same timeslot! Insaaaane! Wow, i'm excited about the ...special secret-o-meter project Kim, Jordyn and I will do in animation....it's quite exciting! ...in other news....there is no other news. First day of school, feels like we've never left. Except that there's now a Louie's Sub in the caf instead of a...whatever there was last year that provided food. And COUCHES! that are the same colours as a dress i had in grade three! Beetlejuice!
Monday, September 2, 2002 02:23 p.m.
Whoo...i'm later than everyone else, but i took the 'what D&D character are you' test...heh...
I Am A: Lawful Good Elf Bard Ranger
Alignment: Lawful Good characters are the epitome of all that
is just and good. They believe in order and governments that work for the benefit of
all, and generally do not mind doing direct work to further their beliefs.
Race: Elves are the eldest of all races, although they are
generally a bit smaller than humans. They are generally well-cultured, artistic,
easy-going, and because of their long lives, unconcerned with day-to-day activities
that other races frequently concern themselves with. Elves are, effectively, immortal,
although they can be killed. After a thousand years or so, they simply pass on to the
next plane of existance.
Primary Class: Bards are the entertainers. They sing, dance,
and play instruments to make other people happy, and, frequently, make money. They
also tend to dabble in magic a bit.
Secondary Class: Rangers are the defenders of nature and the
elements. They are in tune with the Earth, and work to keep it safe and healthy.
Deity: Oghma is the Neutral Good god of knowledge and
invention. He is also known as the Binder of What is Known, and is the Patron of
Bards. His followers believe that knowledge reigns supreme, and is the basis for
everything else that is done. They wear white shirts and pants, with a black and gold
braided vest, and a small, box-like hat. All priests of Oghma are known as
Loremasters. Oghma's symbol is a scroll.

Yeeheee!
Yesterday we went minigolfing as a family...fun fun! :D I wore my hobbit cloak cos it was windy...check this action out! Oh yeah! We took my dad's new digital camera with us...it takes movies, it was really exciting! There's a new complex of 'assisted living' homes being put up in the field behind out house....it's so awful, i remember when I was a kid and there was no residential development north of our house at all...now there's a million cloned suburban homes closing in on the fields where we built forts as kids....I don't see the point to suburban sprawl. It's going to have to stop someday, but none of the people who control develpment seem to see this. The mayor of our city -of any city that I've heard of, really- wants nothing more than to develop develop develop, consume consume consume. There's no thought to what's going to happen when we have taken all that we can, dug and burned and dirtied and run wires through all of our land. We have so little foresight that it's quite scary. Music - Michael Hedges, Dirge

Yeeks....i have much fear about my schedule this year....what will happen? I think they're gonna screw it all up again...(sobs) ...why? why? So evil...well, perhaps if i can fit math into one of the three spares that they gave me, i can figure out a way to convince Mr. Dmytrick and Mr. deBourcier to let me be in Drawing and Animation (respectively) while other classes are going on, and just let me use the studio...ohpleaseohplease.....it's not like there's a ton of direct instruction in either of those classes, mostly just working on your own....man, it had BETTER work out. I've already signed up for Chem with an online school just so i could take all the options I want and then they do this to me....DAMN THEM!!!!!!
Today, all i did was clean my room. It took me the whole freaking day. However, it is very clean now, probably more clean than it has been in the past few...years. It's always either messy or sort-of-clean, where there are neatly arranged piles of papers and such lining all the walls. But now i've just gotten a huge box and put all the extra papers and junk into it....and now my room is semi-less cluttered! I'm astounded at how much actual floor space I have! Wow..... Then this evening I sent a few letters....still need to get to the post office to ask them how much it takes to send a letter to Hungary....aw, i feel evile. Orson needs her letter. But it shall come! Hurrah! Added some new stuff at Side7, as I am still working on revamping my own website...i realized how few finished (or decent) pieces of art I have the other day when we were doing caricatures at a school's registration (whoo! made $24!)... Oh, speaking of that....Happy, Happy news! I am now doing 7 more commissions for the ama, and my pay has been upped as they're happy with my work! $75 a piece now! Whoo! Now i don't have to get a real job to pay for my Europe trip! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lar and I had a sleepover the ther day, t'was fun. We worked on a puzzle, hee! and made a video! I am so glad that i feel no pressure whatsoever to be 'normal' in any way...i cannot see how people would find 'normal' teenage parties and activities fun. Whoo! Look, everyone's drunk! How fun! Let's vomit! I prefer parties with costumes...or Mysteries...or treasure hunts. Much more enjoyable!
Music - the theme from Beetlejuice ...Danny Elfman-o-rama!

Very content today.
I think the Party of Mystery was enjoyabe for all....I had fun, at least. Megan the Evil Murderer. I've finished two of the commissions...just the first one to fix up again....then: hurrah! I have the house to myself this afternoon, whoo! And I worked on my Doujisoup comic goodness! I also walked over to the library with all of my old books and got a ton o' new ones! Yay! There was a new Terry Pratchett in, too! Score! I'm having 'supper' right now....a bowl full of chopped up pear, apple, and peach. Taste Sensation! Music- The Bill Hilly Band (it's not country! it's really great! Seriously!)
Sunday, August 25, 2002 06:36 p.m.
I feel like I've done nothing today. Grr. I hate nice days when all i do is stay indoors and work. Actually, i don't mind it when i'm home *alone*, however, today that was not the case. Bloo. But i guess i did finish inking the other commission...and started cleaning my room.....and made a very very very last-minute entry into a local art competition...but still.
Other news: i dyed my hair yesterday. It's burgendy, whoo! I tried to scan it, just because it makes me laugh that my hair is long enough to scan and not have to stick my head in the scanner or whatnot. The colour didn't scan properly, but i thought it still looked cool: Indeed. Welp....yes. It's Andrew's birthday today, he got 20 (literally) chocolate bars! Holy goosnargh! Yes. ...i write in this too much. Oh, CONGRATS ON YOUR JOB, JORDYN! :D:D:D:D wow, bookstore! that's faboo! And good luck moving, Ath! College...scary! yes! Music:Computer Love, the Balanescu Quartet.

Hoi!
WEnt to a wedding yesterday, hurrah hurrah. It was so hot. Man. I'm glad i didn't have to wear a dark suit like all the guys there, har har. I went for a walk the other day in the woods and took off my glasses, pretending I was in an impressionist painting. T'was fun. Must...finish...commissions.....blaarg. Ah, well. Party of Myster, Party of Mystery! :D:D
Friday, August 23, 2002 03:39 p.m.
Whoo! Finished inking one of my commissions for the AMA! It's supposed to teach people not to park on the crosswalk, especially when school safety patrols are there! Dude!
Anyway, I was going to do the greyscale now, but I think i'll just work on the third one. It's so nice out! I looked out the front window, and everything was so leafy and green and nice! Huzzah! I'm out of this stupid basement! ...well, it's not technichally a basement, but it's a bt over half underground. So yes.

Yar har har.....
Sorry i freaked you and Jer out with the money-placement thing, Ath. No pockets, what can I say?
Went to the fringe with Heather and Tia yesterday...got detained for trying to sell Doujisoup, evil me. I hadn't even sold any yet, darr....We wanted to see the newest Belke play, but it was sold out....so we saw 'Cassandra', which I loved. Heh, check this out:
Hurrah for losers! :D:D I intend to Do Things today, really I do. THe first day this week I haven't had a social life, so i'm gonna work on my commissions (yes, more! she liked them!) for the AMA. Whoo.
Wednesday, August 21, 2002 08:26 p.m.
Whoo...Jordyn said I don't write in this often enough, and i don't. I am a slacker, what can I say. Seriously.
Heh, check out this! Man, i love it so much! She's great. Cute stuff. There's a comic that it was spawned from, heh. That's the first one, you'll need to click on "new LOTR trailer" to continue. And so on. The art is...yeah, but the characters are endearing. And i can identify with them, yes indeed. Whoo. So! Yeah. I need to update my webpage. I have a new design in mind, but...yes. It involves Effortish, and i'm not in an Effortish mood right now. Oh -- and art camp was fun, yes indeedy. I sold three Doujisoups, thanks mainly to the fantabulous DARTH CELIA! She will eat your soul, watch out.
I went to the Fringe and sold another Doujisoup -- score! Also....I thought I lost a lot of money somehow, I had only spent $17 on books (from a great second-hand bookstore...The Arcadians by Lloyd Alexander, The Crucible and Death of a Salesman by Arther Miller, Politically Correct Fairy Tales by James Finn Garner, and Frankenstein by Mary Shelly. Whoo!) and suddenly I was down $20. Then i remembered that I had put it in my bra. Whew! However, the shirt I was gonna buy with it was not on sale anymore. Zarking Fardlewarks! Yes. In any case...i think that's all for now. Whoo. I need to not procrastinate, the summer is almost at an end. Ah, well, there's still thePARTY of MYSTERY!!!! Yes indeedy. Muahaha. Music - Urban Tapestry, Waiting for Frodo
i hate drawing cars. Saturday, August 10, 2002 02:40 p.m.
FINALLY finished the commission for the AMA that I had to do....really horrible perspective, but i think it'll (have to) suffice. However, i do have this to say. Think of it as a public service announcement:

See, if you use feet instead of cars, cars will become obsolete, and i will not have to draw them. And of course there's all the environmental repercussions as well.....
going to Summerscapes this week, hurrah. Heather said it was really fun last year, i think it will be, yes!
Friday, August 9, 2002 01:08 a.m.
I know, i know. loser....three times in one night i'm writing in this stupid thing. But...WHAT is THIS??????????!!!!!!!!!!!
Friday, August 9, 2002 12:58 a.m.
oh, right! i remember what I was going to say!
.... um.....i did, at least. zark.....................
i think it was that i started yet ANOTHER drawing on the doujisoup board that crashed on me. darn it all.
Oh, and Jordyn, if you happen to be reading this, we need to OC sometime, eh?
Friday, August 9, 2002 12:31 a.m.
Today I went to Steeps with Seven. We both got small Iced Chai Smoothies -- for 7.5 cents each! Seriously! I felt kinda bad, though, cos it was because of a coupon that i had.....that was actually for 50% off one item. However, the lady only seemed to see the "maximum $5 value" bit and gave us a full $5 off, even though it only came to $5.15 total. I was really confused, so i didn't realize what she had done until after.....i feel bad though. I'll tip 'em big next time, i guess.
Yes. In other thoughts....i don't like killing bugs. Not for "ooh that's gross" issues, but for moral ones. Perhaps I am some kinda of freak. I was just thinking about it on the way home (whilst i was listening to Arto Lindsay and other great world beat music on CJSR)...but i actually winced every time a bug hit the windshield. I mean, really. I felt sorry for the bugs. That's quite sad. However.....I do think I can rationalize this morally. I mean, I find it really hard to justify killing flies and such just offhand, while never ever considering killing, say, a baby rabbit in such a flippant manner. I can't justify feeling okay about killing something just because it isn't as "cute". I mean, that's such a limited and stupid way of viewing the world, that everything that we in our culture view as "cute" deserves to live more than something that we would deem to be ugly. Yet it's exactly what we do. I mean, i kow it's not like we never kill rabbits or dolphins or puppies or whatnot, but culturally it is a lot less acceptable to do such a thing offhand than to swat a fly just beacuse it has come into one's home. That's pretty much why I try not to kill bugs if given an easily acceptable alternative option (ignoring them, taking them outside, or whatnot)...i mean, i'm not a bug lover. I think they're really gross as much as the next person. Yet I'd also like to try to see past this stupid societal prejudice, as i can't see it as being a morally acceptable thing to me personally. Save the bugs, man.
Yes. Well, in other news.....well....i'm sure i had other news, one moment. thinks I've been back into my LoTR obsession recently, what with the DVD and all. Man i REALLY need to get that commission for the AMA done, but all i've done is draw hobbits. I'm really bad...i've only got 2 more days 'till i leave for art...camp, i suppose....it's all Sanna's fault.....she inspires me to draw hobbity goodness..... Wow, this is a really long entry....what was i going to say? It's gonna bug me all night, i can tell. Ah, well. C'est la vie. Music -- Kate Bush, then 'In the Dark of the Night' from Anastasia (ha!), then Norwegian Wood. Whoo.
Wednesday, August 7, 2002 12:26 a.m.
okay! here we go, a proper entry.
Well, i feel like a total lemming. Ah, well. It's tomorrow! Whoo!
Well, does this design not totally suck? Hurrah. Bleh. Kim has such great blog design goodness....i feel inadequate. I guess it comes of not spending time on things. I cheat and use Netscape Composer cos i'm FAR too lazy to do all the html by hand. Gr. That's bugging me lately tho, cos i think me being lazy with things is a(e?)ffecting my art as well. Or at least i haven't done anything worthwhile in a long, long time. Boo.
Hurrah for blogs: an easy place to whine at late at night! whinewhinewhine! Eat the pirate sushi!
We had sushi on my trip, it was good. From superstore. And they had vegetarian, thank the lords.
I need to redesign my webpage, yes.
Folk Fests rock. Huzzah! Heather and i stalked the Arrogant Worms the whole time, t'was fun. :D
Yeah. I'm off to....do stuff. Actually, to find out who already has taken artichoke and foible as blog names! Those evil seaslugs!
In any case: yes!
